Welcome to HammerIO ("HammerIO", "we", "our", "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of hammerio.com and the calculators, articles, and construction cost resources offered on the Site. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

HammerIO provides free, web-based calculators and educational resources covering residential and light-commercial renovation costs, material takeoffs, labor estimates, room-by-room pricing, and related construction economics. Tools use published labor rates from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, material pricing benchmarks, and standard building-industry estimating formulas. The Site is an informational resource and is not a licensed contractor, estimator, architect, or building code authority.

3. Not Professional Construction Advice

HammerIO is not a licensed contractor, architect, structural engineer, building inspector, or cost estimator. Nothing on this Site constitutes professional construction, engineering, or building-code advice.

All content — including calculator results, articles, guides, and statistics — is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. Construction decisions are highly dependent on your specific property, local building codes, permit requirements, soil conditions, structural constraints, and contractor availability. Before starting any construction work, consult a licensed contractor, architect, structural engineer, or building department.

4. Calculator Accuracy and Limitations

HammerIO uses published BLS labor data, industry-standard material pricing, and established construction-estimating formulas. However, calculator results are estimates, not formal quotes. Actual costs may differ for reasons including but not limited to:

• Regional labor and material cost variation
• Site conditions (access, slope, existing structures, concealed utilities)
• Permit fees, impact fees, and inspection costs that vary by jurisdiction
• Material price volatility, supply chain delays, and tariffs
• Individual contractor overhead, profit margins, and scheduling
• Unforeseen conditions discovered during demolition or excavation

Always obtain at least three detailed written quotes from licensed contractors before committing to a project. HammerIO makes no warranty that calculator results are complete, accurate, or applicable to your project.

5. Permitted Use

You may use HammerIO only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the Site in any way that violates any applicable law or regulation.
• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or compromise the Site, its servers, or its infrastructure.
• Scrape, mirror, or systematically copy content from the Site without written permission.
• Use automated scripts to generate load or circumvent rate limiting.
• Reverse-engineer calculator logic or re-publish it as your own service.
• Misrepresent calculator results as formal contractor quotes or engineering estimates.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on HammerIO — including text, calculators, logos, page layouts, article series, methodology explanations, data compilations, and design elements — is the property of HammerIO or its content contributors and is protected by U.S. and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may view, print, and share individual pages for personal, non-commercial use, and you may link to the Site. You may not reproduce, redistribute, republish, sublicense, or create derivative works from HammerIO content without our prior written consent.

7. Third-Party Content and Advertising

The Site contains advertising served by third parties (including Google AdSense and other ad networks), as well as references and links to third-party websites such as BLS.gov, HomeAdvisor-style sites, EnergyStar, and manufacturer pages. HammerIO does not control and is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of third-party sites or advertisers. Inclusion of an advertisement or link is not an endorsement.

THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ACCURACY.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, HAMMERIO AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR RELIANCE ON ITS CONTENT, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO COST OVERRUNS, MATERIAL WASTE, CONTRACTOR DISPUTES, OR PROJECT DELAYS. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100).

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless HammerIO, its operators, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any right of another party.

11. Privacy

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, the remaining provisions will remain in full force. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and HammerIO regarding the Site.
